Job Description and Duties

Under general direction of a Supervising Property Appraiser (SPA), the Associate Property Auditor Appraiser (APAA) in the Assessment Practices Survey Division serves as a member of a survey team that reviews the assessment practices and procedures of County Assessors’ offices for compliance with property tax laws and rules. The incumbent focuses on issues involving the taxation of business and personal property. The incumbent also conducts audits and reviews appraisals as part of an assessment sampling program.

Working Conditions

• Telework is available fifty percent (50%) of the time.
• Standard office environment. (for example, artificial lighting, controlled temperature, etc.)
• Requires being in a stationary position, consistent with office work, for extended periods of time.
• Daily use of a personal computer, office equipment, and/or telephone.
• Must be able to mo ve/transport records and equipment weighing up to forty (40lbs.), with or without reasonable accommodation .

• Maintain a Board of Equalization (BOE) appraiser certification including continuing education.
